We are just days away from the premiere of Sons of Anarchy Season 7.

The biker drama returns on Tuesday, September 9 with a super-sized premiere that will focus on a vengeance-filled Jax, a very frightened Juice... and a party in the porn warehouse.

Indeed, I've seen the opening three episodes of the new season and they don't lack for drama, intensity, bloodshed or scantily-clad women.

Sons of Anarchy Scoop: Gemma's Next Move, Jax's "Big Plan," Juice's Big Mistake

The end is very, very near.

Sons of Anarchy starts to rev up for the final time tonight, with Executive Producer/Director Paris Barclay here to provide scoop on the FX drama's concluding ride.

When he recently sat down with me to discuss crafting the final season, Barclay had a hint of sadness in his voice as he spoke of where we'll find everyone on Sons Of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 1 and where the various journeys may take SAMCRO and company.

Will we see any past characters pop back up? Will Gemma get her due after killing Tara on the Sons of Anarchy Season 6 finale? And what big plan is Jax setting up when we find him in prison to kick off the opener? Let's find out...

Ten Days Later - Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 1

TV Fanatic: Was it helpful knowing it’s the end of the run in crafting this final season?

Paris Barclay: You know, it was helpful and hurtful, because we feel like we want it to end the way that we want it to end. We have a vision for what the ending’s going to be and it made us sad. We wanted to make each of these episodes great episodes and I think we’re in the middle of six now, and each one has topped the next one. So we’ve succeeded so far, even though it’s been exhausting but that’s been the challenge to say, “Okay, this is where we’re going. Let’s make it great,” and everyone’s come to play.

TVF: Starting up, we know Jax is in prison. What’s his goal there?

PB: Jax is always thinking. He’s always trying to figure out what he can do next. He’s always trying to figure out who to bond with, and that’s where [Marilyn] Manson’s character comes into play as the head of the Aryan Brotherhood. So, he works out an arrangement with him, which is going to reverberate through the entire season. It’s not just a one-off. It’s going to have echoes that go all the way down the line.

And it’s always about the big plan, and Jax has some information, which you’ll find out by the end of it. He knows a little bit more than you think he knows about what happened to Tara, and then, as that develops, that’s going to set a lot of sort of mistaken, Shakespearean, wrong-man situations that will cause turbulence with the whole club.

TVF: Seeing the season premiere already, all that Shakespeare that Kurt’s talked about since day one has been just reeling in my head.

PB: Yeah, there’s a little bit of Mama Macbeth in there.

TVF: Oh my gosh, a little?

PB: There’s a little bit of Two Gentlemen of Verona in there if you think about it and a lot of Hamlet.

TVF: Now that we’re in season seven, we’ve seen these characters do some really horrific things, Gemma included, yet we’re still interested in her. She has a great scene with Jimmy Smits in the opener where I'm like, “Oh, I just want them to be happy,” but then, “Wait, she killed Tara.”

PB: I think it has something to do with Katey Sagal too. It’s hard not to love her because the struggle is so apparent. She’s not the person who is cold-hearted and that villain that would be in a Batman movie that has just decided “evil is what I'm all about.” She makes it so complicated. So she’s making the choices. She’s telling herself it’s about family. She’s telling herself it’s about love. Even when she killed Tara in her sort of drunken confusion, she was telling herself, “This is what I have to do to protect myself,” and then she was working on the information she knew, and like a lioness, she attacked. So, she’s not just an arbitrarily two-dimensional evil bitch. She’s somebody who really is caring and maybe to a fault.

TVF: Is there going to be a side we’ll see where there maybe is some guilt?

PB: Well, as you’ll see in the first episode, it’s starting to unravel a little bit. The compartments are starting to crack open, and so, while she’s great in the scene we show with Jax, she keeps it together. When she talks with Juice and tries to lay out a strategy, and later on, when she’s in the kitchen again, you’ll see the beginning of...it’s not an unraveling as much as maybe it’s a slight bit of emotional...I think she’s losing her mind a little bit.

TVF: What can you tease or say about Juice’s journey? Because, in some ways, he could’ve been hiding anywhere - but he’s stayed close by for some reason.

PB: Yeah. Juice is in trouble. If I, Paris, were talking to Juice, I would say, “You've made a number of big mistakes, and number one is you stuck around. You should have gone,” and you will see, as the episodes unravel, that he will come back, and he will regret the day that he made that alliance that kept him in Charming. He should have gone.

TVF: How solid is the club moving into the last season?

PB: The club is solid. The club is very solid and I think when Jax has that come-to-Jesus moment with them and you look around the room, I felt, in their faces, that they mean it when they say they’re all in for him, and that’s going to become important too, because, unlike The Last Supper, all those guys are going to stay in for Jax to their detriment.

The New Caretakers - Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 1

TVF: What can you tell about Gemma and Nero? Is there hope for them at all? Because they say they love each other, but there’s also a lot of other circumstances going on.

PB: I’ll tell you, they have such great chemistry as actors that you really believe they belong together, and Jimmy, obviously, I’ve known for 20 plus years [on NYPD Blue]. He’s a terrific actor and great guy to have around. I think that might work out. If Gemma can pull herself out of this situation that she’s in, which is 50/50, then there’s a possibility. Nero’s probably the first guy that she had that’s really a decent guy. I mean, Clay wasn’t, really, and certainly John Teller wasn’t. I think Nero’s the first guy who really is substantial, and so, I'm hoping. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they make it to the finish line.

TVF: Using the Never My Love (by the 60s group, The Association) song was awesome. Who was responsible for that?

PB: I’ll tell you who’s responsible for that. It was in the script and I thought, “This is a really, really bad idea.” First, as an Association fan and someone who actually had The Association’s greatest hits playing in his basement stereo forever and I still have it on my phone. I thought ‘that is just when worlds collide to a fault,’ but when Bob Thiele (Jr.) redid it with his singers, it was beautiful, and it was right. It still has the feeling of the old song but it’s taken it to a new dimension and we tried to sort of work the picture with each line of the dialogue so it had some resonance to it, too.

TVF: For the viewers that have watched since day one, there are so many characters that we grew to love that are now gone but is there going to be any reason to bring anybody back? Either in a spiritual way or physically?

PB: Well, we do do that but we’re trying to do it in a subtle say. I mean, when you saw in the first montage that Unser was at Tara’s grave…we wanted to just remind [the viewers] that this is part of the texture of it but we’re not going to do any flashback episodes. They’re not going to come back. Once they’re dead, they’re pretty damn dead.

Sons of Anarchy Season 7 airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on FX.

If you expected things to be any less brutal during this final season of Sons of Anarchy, you were gravely mistaken. The biggest question may be who will survive and what will be left of them if they do.

Jax ended Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 1 the same way he began itcovered in another man's blood. Torture and death have become the new normal in his life.

Not that he was ever averse to violence, but whatever compassion and humanity that had lived in Jax died along with Tara.

Ten Days Later - Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 1
Ten days after Tara is killed we find Jax sitting in jail on Sons of Anarchy. "Black Widower" is the first episode of the show's seventh and final season.

The idea of taking the club legit was long gone as soon as Jax sat back down at the head of the table. As he said in this Sons of Anarchy quote

I already lost the woman I love. I'm not going to lose my club.

Jax

The club had obviously become his main priority, as he didn't even go home to see his boys after getting out of jail. Maybe dealing with club business was simply easier than having to face his own - motherless - sons.

Patterson's visit to Jax was both poignant and sad. Having lost her own child to violence, she understood the overwhelming desire for vengeance. However, in her world, that was unacceptable. It wasn't an option. But this isn't the case for Jax.

Wendy showed up like a bad penny. I have no doubt that she means well, but she bailed on rehab after only nine days. That doesn't bode well for her chances of staying clean. Gemma's advice to Juice to "stop chatting up the junkie" was too little too late. Wendy knows that Gemma has been hiding Juice from Jax. The odds of Wendy keeping her mouth shut indefinitely aren't good.

When Wendy hid Juice in the bedroom and let Unser in, was she setting Juice up to be found or is she simply that stupid? I didn't suspect her until she asked Unser to go into her closet. With Wendy, it really is anyone's guess.

Watching Gemma care for Tara's boys was difficult. Listening to her profess her love to Jax was stomach turning, although I don't doubt how much she loves him.

But in Gemma's hands, love is a twisted thing. Unfortunately, she wasn't completely wrong to keep the truth from her boy. Knowing that his own mother murdered the love of his life will destroy Jax - but, let's face it, the truth will come out eventually. It always does. Still, if I have to listen to Jax thank Gemma for her help one more time... I might be ill.

As Jax scurried around Charming, killing pastors getting creative about God's work and setting up porn parties for fellow gun runners (Red Woody is an inspired porn production name), Gemma had her own plan.

Jax had asked all of the members of the Sons to be all in going forward. At the same time, Gemma went all in as well.

Listening to Gemma speak to Tara while doing dishes in her kitchen sink had me wondering if this was some sort of self therapy; or if Gemma had actually lost her mind. Either way, whatever conscience she had obviously died long ago.

In order to make sure she was off the hook for Tara's murder, Gemma pointed the finger at someone else. One moment the poor guy was nursing his drink and the next Jax was covered in his blood, as he literally poured salt in his wounds, before stabbing him to death with a carving fork.

If this is the beginning of the final season, I wonder if any of us will survive watching the end.

Tell me, SOA Fanatics, do you want Jax to find out the truth about Tara's murder?

Ten days after Tara's death, Jax is released from County jail on Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 1. Even though Jax claimed the club was now his main priority, it turned out he also had other plans.

Wendy ditched rehab to come home and found Juice hiding out in her apartment. She swore to Gemma she wouldn't tell Jax but later, Unser stumbled upon Juice himself.

Jax scrambled to mend fences and stop a gang war and with Nero's help, seemed successful. Nero and Gemma even reunitied.

But later Gemma covered her tracks by setting up the Chinese to take the fall for Tara's murder, leaving Jax to torture and kill an innocent man.

It's official and it's impressive: Sons of Anarchy Season 7 is off to a very strong start.

A record-setting start, in fact.

The final season of this FX drama revved up Tuesday night with 6.2 million total viewers and a 3.2 rating among 18-49-year olds, up 5 percent and a tenth of a point, respectively, from its penultimate premiere a year ago.

Both figures are all-time highs for the series.

The Sons of Anarchy Season 7 premiere set records for FX - but how did it go over with our round table team?

Below, TV Fanatics Leigh Raines, Amanda Wolf and Christine Orlando are joined by Patricia from Sons-of-Anarchy.net to debate whether Unser was set up, which of Gemma's crimes was worse and whether Jax Teller can be redeemed after Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 1.

-------------------------------------

Did Wendy set up Juice to be found by Unser?

Leigh: I think she might just have killed that many brain cells from her years of drug use. Why would she want the blowback from hiding Juice?

Amanda:  This scene felt so fishy to me. Wendy was trying to be very casual and normal throughout but we have seen her attention to detail in the past when she faked an assault to fool Gemma. I just could not shake the feeling that she was giving Unser the opening he needed to go full detective and figure out that something was up. Like Unser being suspicious of the groceries was not me just being an omnipotent viewer, there was maybe a tone in there that communicated something between these two characters who have known each other a long time.

Patricia:  Honestly, I don't believe Wendy has the same thought process skills that Tara possessed...but, by allowing Juice to remain in her apartment, she has now unknowingly become a part of the web of deceit that Juice and Gemma are weaving together...

Christine:  I normally don't give Wendy that kind of credit but when she left the perishable groceries out and then asked Unser to get the coat directly above Juice's bag, it's hard to believe she wasn't setting him up.

SOA Round Table Logo

Is Gemma right, would Jax finding out the truth about Tara's death do him more harm than good or is she justifying more lies?

Leigh: She is justifying more lies. Jax is not going to get over the death of his wife. If he found out it was his own mother he'd lose his mind. But the bottom line is that Gemma is covering her ass and justifying her reasoning per usual.

Amanda: I am torn about this one. On the one hand it would do serious harm to Jax if he found out his mother was the one that killed his wife. It seems like it would validate in a final way all of those trust issues that I am convinced he always knew his mother had and take away the person he trusts most. On the other hand I think Gemma is using it to bury some guilt she is struggling with. But the pessimistic and hard realist side of me thinks she also wants to survive in the terms of keeping her club, grandsons and well life as close to normal as she knows it.

Patricia: Gemma thinks ONLY of herself in her twisted and sick mind...Unser told her when he picked her up from jail after the miscarriage incident that her love was so twisted in hate and lies that he doubted she could ever find it...I almost threw something at our 80" TV when she told Juice that JAX and his sons needed a strong woman in their lives. Gemma killed that strong woman and has now robbed her son and his children of the one good thing in their lives. Gemma's entire life has been one manipulative and self serving lie, beginning with her participation in JT's murder.

Christine: Yes, finding out the truth would do Jax harm but the lies have him torturing and murdering an innocent man. Gemma is justifying her lying to save her own ass.  In the end, she's gotten what she always wanted. Jax and his boys all to herself.

What's your take on Gemma talking to Tara?

Leigh: Gemma is haunted. Look what she did, she's obviously lost her mind. Now to live with that guilt? We might be getting ready to see the craziest Gemma yet.

Amanda: This I found very interesting and am honestly not sure what we were seeing here. Was this an expression of some guilt she is feeling? She was standing right over the sink where she committed the crime and in the middle of sending someone else to their death for it. Or was she trying to work out her thoughts about the future for the boys and Wendy's place in that? Maybe a little bit of both. In any case it was a good look inside Gemma's state right now.

Patricia: Gemma is slowly driving herself crazy and still trying to rationalize and justify the fact that she took the life of her son's one true love and the mother of her grandsons. She has waffled back and forth and manipulated Wendy so many times...her lies and deception can't continue and when she is with Nero, that seems very evident to me. She told Tara early on that it was either ALL the truth to be a part of the MC world and to be an ole lady. She just can't continue to function under the weight of what she has done in the name of truth and love.

Christine: Talking to someone who has passed on isn't all that unusual. Doing it over the sink where you murdered them while standing next to the man you just set up to be tortured and murdered for your crime? That's a whole new level of twisted, even for Gemma.

Gemma killed Tara in a fit of rage. She set up another man to be tortured and killed to protect herself. Is one worse then the other?

Leigh: At first my answer was that the second one was worse because she set someone innocent up with malicious intent. But then I checked myself and hello! She murdered Tara!! She could've slapped her or something but she stabbed her to death. Bottom line: two people are dead because of Gemma.

Amanda: Maybe I am wrong but in retrospect none of these things surprise me with Gemma. We have always had an idea how far she would go to "protect" her family.  Which one of these is worse..well all of this is happening because she killed Tara in an INSANE fit of rage. With that there was for sure some poor schmuck who was gonna bite it as a result of the blame game. I will go with that as the worse thing to do since the truth will come out anyway.

Patricia: Gemma has no moral conscience because she feels everything she does is for her family to love and protect them at ALL costs. I believe she has justified the set up of the guy to be tortured to death as the ultimate resolution for JAX in his loss of Tara. She has no conception of anything that has taken place with the Chinese and the other MC's. She has just set a war in motion leading to more lies.

Christine: Is one senseless murder worse than the other? No. One may have been expertly manipulated while the other was done in a fit of rage but they both show how arrogant, violent, and selfish Gemma can be. It's scary to think that Jax's sons could be raised by such a woman. Just look how Jax turned out.

Will Juice kill Unser?

Leigh: I hope not! Unser is the OG of Charming.

Amanda: Juice kill Unser? I'm gonna go with no. I just don't think that Juice would be able to kill Unser. If anything he would skip town leaving Unser tied up in the apartment and leave him for either Wendy or Gemma to  discover. Both would probably lead to interesting conversations. I think we could all appreciate some more shots of Theo Rossi's chiseled behind though.

Patricia: Juice won't kill Unser because he is a follower and has to be told when to act and how. I haven't come up in my own with what Juice is going to do next...that's a tough one to try and outthink Sutter.

Christine:  Of course anything is possible on SOA but I don't think he will. My guess is that he'll try and run. Eventually, I think Gemma will set up Juice to be killed as he's the only other living person who knows her secret. And I completely agree with you Amanda. Theo Rossi has a mighty fine behind.

Charlie Hunnam (Jax Teller)
Charlie started off on the other side of the pond when at 18-years-old he made a guest appearance on the popular British TV series Byker Grove. That led to the role of Nathan Maloney on Queer as Folk, Gregor Ryder on Young Americans and Lloyd Haythe on Undeclared before donning his leather jacket with the Sons of Anarchy.

Is there anything redeemable left in Jax Teller?

Leigh: Can I say his abs? I feel like that's an acceptable answer, right? Okay yeah. His abs. Also his loyalty to SAMCRO.

Amanda: He still has his sons so I think there is hope. Whether he is redeemable kind of depends on what path he goes down now that Tara is gone and the ugly truth that his mother did it will most likely come out. I am not optimistic about the fate of Jax since the show has never really been about redemption and death is always there as an oh so likely outcome for all of these characters.  But whatever happens to Jax it won't be because there was nothing redeemable in him.

Patricia: By ALL means there are many things left redeemable in Jax Teller. He knows part of the story of his father's murder and I believe that when Abel begins asking about his mother that JAX will begin to slowly love again and remember what Tara said to him about becoming a monster. Thomas and Abel can certainly be his redemption, along with his deep and profound love for Tara. Remember she told him that he was a good man with a good heart. Chibbs and Bobby may be a huge part of his redemption too.

Christine: I think Jax is too far down this road to ever actually be redeemed (unless as Leigh said, you're talking about his abs!) but I do think it's possible for him to make better choices for his sons. At some point he'll have to look in the mirror and decide if he wants Abel and Thomas to turn into the monster that he has become.

What was your favorite scene from the episode?

Leigh: Despite watching half of the last scene through my t-shirt after some spoilers, I would say the full ending montage to that cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. It took us full circle, checked in with everyone, and put us on the course of what's to come on this final ride.

Amanda: This is a seriously tough one to answer considering all the great scenes we were given in this episode. Despite my bashing on Gemma I really liked a lot of the scenes she had in this episode. Her and Juice talking about Tara's death and how she can face Jax was amazing for watching these two characters reflect on it. Gemma is also  a self proclaimed non-psychopath after all, so it was enlightening. I also really liked the scene between Lila and Gemma. They were just having a chat about the club's porn business but it was between two women that have been through a lot and care about each other. Loved it.

Patricia: To choose a favorite scene is a very, very difficult dilemma because there are two, but they are opposite ends of the spectrum. Both scenes included Charlie and all of his brothers. The first was at the table when he began by telling them he never wanted to sit in the president's chair. The despair he carries was so evident. Then the last scene when he tortured the Chinese guy showed us the rage, hurt, anger and revenge he has. His heart and soul have been taken away and he was not even able to attend the funeral of the love of his life and the mother of his children. How much agony and despair can one man shoulder? Charlie Hunnam was magnificent and brilliant in bringing all of those emotions to the audience as horrific as it was to watch.

Christine: My favorite was also my least favorite. It was the final scene of Jax torturing and killing the man he believed killed Tara. The music for the entire montage was excellent but it was Jax's quiet, almost gentle voice telling the man to stay with him because it was almost over. He sounded so tender just before he plunged the carving fork into his skull. The scene was brutal, which I hate, but so well executed that I can't help but love it at the same time.

15 Most Memorable Deaths on Sons of Anarchy

Some deaths we expected (RIP, Clay Morrow), while others took us completely by surprise (remember Donna?).

With others, it was the method of their demise that seared their death into our brains because, on what other show, can a carving fork be considered a deadly weapon?

There have been so many characters killed on Sons of Anarachy over the span of six seasons that it can be hard to keep track, but some have definitely turned out to be more memorable than others.

With Sons of Anarchy Season 7 off and running killing, check out the 15 most memorable deaths (so far) from this FX smash and ponder: Who will be next?

Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst)
Opie made the ultimate sacrifice to save Jax. He was beaten to death in prison, while Jax and the club watched. RIP Opie. You were the heart of SAMCRO. We'll never forget you.

Sons of Anarchy Review: Tired of Counting Bodies

$

At one point on Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 2, Unser told Gemma he was tired of counting bodies.

But something tells me he better break out his calculator because the killing has just begun.

Gemma had hoped that giving Jax an outlet for his need for revenge would help him find closure concerning Tara's death. Boy, did she get that one wrong. It's only made him more blood thirsty than ever.

Jax plans to take apart Lin piece by piece. First his business... then the people he cares about... and once he gets to live with the agony for a while, Jax will finally end him as slowly and painfully as possible.

Sounds like the days of a contemplative Jax Teller writing his thoughts in his journal and searching for ways to make the world a better place for his sons are long over. Is there any part of him that realizes how much Tara would hate this? The violence. The death. The constant need for vengeance.

It's what made Tara want to take those boys and run in the first place.

But I'd be lying if I said the club's escapades weren't fun to watch. Like Chibs almost flying off the end of the pickup truck during that wild ride. Or Tig verbally torturing Ratboy in the car. It's sick and twisted…and damn funny.

Back home, Gemma tried to take care of the boys and it was so sad to hear little Abel worry that his grandma was OK. Little does he know that if it weren't for grandma, he'd still have a mommy. I wonder if he'll ever find out.

And I'm wondering if Hell has frozen over because Wendy has become the most stable, reasonable person in all of Charming. Well, maybe second to Nero.

As former addicts (Wendy only very recently former) who love their kids, these two have great chemistry. My favorite scenes were of Wendy and Nero in the car, talking about the toll of breaking their drug habits. Hers in rehab, his in prison where a soul crushing $2,000 a day opiate habit made him an easy target. I had to laugh when Wendy responded with, "Wow! You make me look like a pussy."

But Nero is all about the zen advice in this Sons of Anarchy quote

If I stay in truth and I give it to people straight. No lies, no spin, no games. I always know that whatever happens is going to be the right thing, whether I like it or not.

Nero

Something tells me that when it comes to Gemma, he's not going to like it. Not at all.

Gemma got Juice out of Charming, but not before he held Unser in a bathtub over night. Juice picking up that kitchen knife had me scared, but I love how calm Unser always is. It's probably one of the things that has kept him alive in Charming all of these years.

However, I do wish he had told Gemma about his deal to be an investigator for the new Sheriff. That's not something he can keep secret in Charming for very long. It would have been better to get ahead of it. You never know what Gemma might do when she feels threatened. Let's hope he keeps his carving utensils locked up.

Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst)
Opie made the ultimate sacrifice to save Jax. He was beaten to death in prison, while Jax and the club watched. RIP Opie. You were the heart of SAMCRO. We'll never forget you.

The new Sheriff may have made fun of the club's intellectual prowess, but Unser knows enough to both respect and fear Jax Teller as he tried to explain to Sheriff Jarry…

Jax Teller is formidable. As smart as he is dangerous.

Unser

But even Jax can't control all things. When Jury found Jimmy dead in his living room, it became clear the young man was more than hired muscle. And Jury certainly recognized the gun dropped on the floor as the one he put in the van earlier in that day.

It's a good thing Happy knows a thousand places to bury bodies because I'm pretty sure that Mayberry is about to turn into the killing fields. And it's anyone's guess where it will all end.

Tell us what you think, TV Fanatics. Will Juice be able to escape the club?

If Gemma thought pointing Jax in the direction of Tara's supposed killer would help quell his need for revenge, she was dead wrong. As Jax spells out in Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 2, he's gearing up for a long and bloody war.

Wendy and Nero bonded as former addicts while Gemma scrambled to get Juice out of Charming after he let Unser go. Gemma's relief at Unser offering his help was quickly tempered when she saw the paperwork for his new investigator job with the Sheriff's department and a file on Tara's murder.

Later, Jax's plan to set up a couple of local boys for taking down Lin's drug and guns deal may turn south when one of the young men he kills may have a direct connection to Jury, the President of the Sons Indian HIlls charter who recognizes one of the guns left behind as that belonging to the club.

Alicia Coppola is headed to Charming.

In news broken by TV Line, the actress (Rosewood) will guest star on at least one Sons of Anarchy Season 7 episode as Mildred Treal, the Principal at the preschool where Abel is a student.

This is the same school at which Courtney Love will also recur as Abel's all-business teacher, Ms. Harrison.

Shot of Alicia Coppola

Since Jericho wrapped up in 2008, Coppola has stopped by such hits as NCIS: Los Angeles, The Nine Lives of Chloe King and Two and a Half Men and Teen Wolf.

She will also play a role on Criminal Minds Season 10 Episode 4.

No word on yet on exactly when she'll stop by Sons of Anarchy Season 7, whose premiere was the most-watched episode in network history.

Juice was on the run, Wendy found an unexpected ally and Jax's need for revenge saw no end in Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 2.

Below, TV Fanatics Amanda Wolf, Leigh Raines, Carla Day, and Christine Orlando discuss Juice's chances of survival, if Jax's bloodlust can be curbed who which has been the most memorable death of the series.

-------------------------------------

Will Juice escape the club?

Amanda: I don't think Juice stands a chance. Jax won't think twice about killing him unless he can use him somehow. Gemma is the only one on his team so...yeah. Unser is on the case about Tara's death and may come up with something. The rest of the club also wouldn't think twice about handing Juice over to Jax.

Leigh: Depends on the definition of escape. Will he leave? No he doesn't want to. Will Jax let him make it out alive? Ehh Jax is on a bit of a killing spree these days but I feel like he's not even focused on Juice. I think Gemma will actually kill him eventually out of paranoia.

Carla: I have mixed feelings about this. He should have been killed so many times that I have a tough time buying that the club would get him. Gemma would be more likely at this point. She has much more at risk with him sticking around.

Christine: I've got to believe that Juice's days are numbered, if only because he doesn't seem smart enough to just run and not look back. I don't know if it will be Jax or Gemma but I don't think Juice is long for this world.

SOA Round Table Logo

What are your thoughts on Nero and Wendy's friendship?

Amanda: It all came so natural. These two have great chemistry. I really liked seeing these two talk about their troubled pasts with rehab while driving around to run two completely different errands. Nero and now Wendy are the most reasonable people on the show and can bond over being surrounded by crazies.

Leigh: I agree that it came naturally. I enjoyed their scenes. But do we really trust Wendy? Sorry but not 100%. Too hard at this point. Nero likes them crazy ladies.

Carla: I liked seeing them hanging out. They really do have a similar past to bring them together. I'd rather see them hook up than see him back with the daughter-in-law killer or for her to get back with Jax.

Christine: I loved their burgeoning friendship over being recovering addicts who care about their kids. Of course I love most scenes with Nero but this was the first time I felt connected to Wendy. I hope they stay just friends. A hook up could really ruin it.

Do you think Jax will ever exact enough death to cure his need for revenge?

Amanda:  Going to have to go with no. Just because he was laying down with his sons at the end of this episode doesn't mean I am convinced for a minute that he is done searching for blood. Lin is still alive after all! And by the looks of that ending the killing and mayhem is not close to over.

Leigh: No definitely not. Will he stop at Lin? Nothing will bring Tara back. That's what feeds his pain. I think he will slow down on Lin when Unser starts to unearth the truth. If Gemma doesn't get to him first...

Carla:  No. And when (he better!) finds out the truth it will turn to regret for the meaningless deaths. I cannot even imagine his reaction to finding out what his mother did. It will crush him, yet it may be the reveal that turns his life around.

Christine: If Jax thinks bloodlust will make losing Tara hurt any less, there's going to be a pile of bodies in his wake before he figures out he's wrong. And watching Jury recognize that gun…I think the killing is about to multiply exponentially.

Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst)
Opie made the ultimate sacrifice to save Jax. He was beaten to death in prison, while Jax and the club watched. RIP Opie. You were the heart of SAMCRO. We'll never forget you.

With so much death on this show, was there one that you found most memorable?

Amanda: I have two ways of defining memorable. Tara's death was the most shocking in terms of the blood and gore. The death I least expected was Damon Pope's. I just expected him to be around for a bit longer than he was and that whole plan around his death took me completely by surprise.

Leigh: Damn that's a long list. I think I'll go with Opie. He never truly recovered after Donna even though he met Lila. Opie's hand being forced and him taking it for his brothers was just so sad and stuck with me. Tara's of course was brutal and very fresh in all of our minds. Also let us never forget the Agent Kohn from season 1 who was stalking Tara and ultimately brought her and Jax back together...and then they got down in front of his body.

Carla:  Opie and Tara's were the most impactful. But for the entirety of the series, it was Donna's murder that really shook me and shows this was a different, more violent series unlike anything else on.

Christine: For me it was Tig's daughter Dawn being burned alive while he watched. I've never quite been able to shake that one. Then there's Tara. She was the character I connected with the most so her brutal death at Gemma's hands will always be difficult to deal with.

If you could choose one person to survive this season, who would it be?

Amanda: I actually want Jax to survive but I'm not too optimistic about this or sure what he would do after all the death that I anticipate occurring the rest of the season.

Leigh: Well I want Jax to survive for his children, but it doesn't seem likely. Aside from the star: I'd like to see Unser still standing through years of violence and cancer. Don't see it happening sadly.

Carla: I want the boys to survive, though I do not want the final image to be Abel at the head of the table or for him to even be at the table. Those boys need to be given the life their grandfather wanted for their father.

Christine: Carla, I didn't even think about the boys! Yikes, let's hope they'll be OK. I hope Unser survives because as Leigh says, he's dealt with so much…but I'm not overly optimistic. Other than that it's pretty much all fair game. I think (or hope) I'm prepared for anything.

What was your favorite scene from the episode?

Amanda: Wendy and Nero riding around in the car together. The dialogue was so natural and had a lot of chemistry. It also changed my perceptions  about these characters and made me feel bad for the world they are caught up in.

Leigh: Sometimes we just need to laugh and Tig always manages to make me chuckle. Wendy greeting Gemma and Nero as mom and dad was a funny dynamic as well. Sorry these days there is so much death that we need a few lighter moments!

Carla: Jax with Abel in bed at the end. It showed there is hope for him, well ... until we saw Jury with presumably his son or surrogate son.

Christine: It's a tie. I loved Nero and Wendy for their sane and insightful conversation, plus Wendy referring to them as the nanny and the gardner was hysterical. Runner up goes to Tig in the car. He is one sick bastard but he definitely makes me laugh and this show could use all the humor it can get right now

Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 3 Review: Playing With Monsters

What other show on basic cable starts out with the filming of Skankinstein Lives? No other.

Only Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 3 and it's good to see Lila behind the camera instead of in front of it. Even Jax seemed pleased.

Perhaps a little too pleased with himself, as he appeared to think that his plot for revenge was going well. And on the surface it is. He's doing a heck of a job playing all of these gangs off of one another.

For a moment, I wondered whether he was going to align the club with Tyler or Chester. Then I realized that he gave Tyler the half a kilo of heroin. He wouldn't have made that type of investment for nothing. That's when I knew Chester and his men were about to take bullets to the back in that warehouse.

You'd think these guys would learn never to turn their backs on anyone.

August told Jax that trust can't live in the same space as secrets and lies. The problem is, there's nothing but secrets and lies in their world. I found it amusing when August said that Pope had the reputation for being smart but he has the reputation of being deadly.

I'd bet Tig's daughter thought Pope was deadly enough.

Speaking of kids, Abel got to watch Nero beat the crap out of the guy who hit Gemma. Does the look in Abel's eyes strike fear in anyone else or is it just me? Goodness knows the things that that child has seen and heard in his short life. I'd love to know exactly what prompted him to ask if his Daddy does bad things.

Gemma can lie all she wants, but the kid is barely five and he's already aware that his father is on the wrong side of right.

Gemma had another conversation with Tara. This time it was even more disturbing than the first as Gemma reasoned that, "It all happened the way it was suppose to happen. Everything." Wow! Gemma's ability to rationalize stabbing the mother of her grandchildren to death is both impressive and frightening as hell. The woman is clearly insane.

Even Nero got sucked back into the life, exactly where he didn't want to be. I've been hoping that Nero would survive this season and be able to get away from the life and take care of his son. I'm suddenly not feeling very optimistic.

There's definitely a new Sheriff in town and she's got the hots for Chibs. A woman doesn't show her battle scars to just anyone. When she told Jax in this Sons of Anarchy quote

I'm sure we can all work together to keep Charming safe and profitable for everyone. Understood?

Sheriff Jarry

It was pretty clear that she was willing to work with the club…for a fee. And they are more than happy to pay. We'll see if there's going to be a Jarry/Chibs hookup somewhere along the way.

Juice took Unser up on his offer to help and I couldn't help but smile when Juice asked Unser why he should trust him…

You had me bound and gagged in a bathtub son. I think I would have already dropped a dime on you if that's what I wanted.

Unser

Juice was so desperate and needy. It was very sad to hear Chibs tell him to off himself when he asked how to redeem himself with the club. I really can't imagine how he survives on his own but Juice should have been dead several times over the last couple of seasons, so at this point nothing would surprise me.

So tell me TV Fanatics,  do you think Gemma is insane or just has great coping skills? Will Jax's plans blow up in his face and is there any chance that Juice makes it out alive?

Charlie Hunnam (Jax Teller)
Charlie started off on the other side of the pond when at 18-years-old he made a guest appearance on the popular British TV series Byker Grove. That led to the role of Nathan Maloney on Queer as Folk, Gregor Ryder on Young Americans and Lloyd Haythe on Undeclared before donning his leather jacket with the Sons of Anarchy.

Jax continued to play all of the rival gangs off of one another in order to get his revenge against the Chinese in Sons of Anarchy  Season 7 Episode 3.

When one of the escorts father gets rough, Gemma tries to step in but ends up getting hit. Abel walks in as Nero beats the man who hurt Gemma. Later Abel asks his if his Daddy is does bad things.

Unser offers to help Juice get out of town but Juice wants one more shot to get back into the club. Unser arranges a meet with Chibs who tells Juice the only way to find redemption is to kill himself. Unser, Gemma, and Wendy then work to get Juice out of town.

Elsewhere, Sheriff Jarry has an interesting proposition for Chibs and the club.

Sons of Anarchy Round Table: Is Gemma Insane?

Juice made one last plea to get back into the club, Gemma had another conversation with Tara and the new Sheriff made her presence known in on the Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 3.

Below, TV Fanatics Leigh Raines and Christine Orlando teamed up with Leah from Sons-of-Anarchy.net to decide if there's hope for Nero, if Gemma is losing her mind and whether or not they'd like to see a Chibs / Jarry hook up after Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 3.

-------------------------------------

Did Chibs mean it when he told Juice to kill himself?

Leigh: I don't think Chibs meant it so much in an angry, hateful "go kill yourself" kind of way. I think it was more like "you are screwed, there is no way out, what Jax will do to you is going to be so much worse."

Leah:  I think Chibs WANTS to mean it. He's had it with Juice being weak. But at the same time, Juice is special to Chibs. I think we have always seen that connection. I don't think there will ever be any forgiveness from Chibs so he just wants Juice gone. Not dead, just far away, never to return. He essentially said that when he told Unser he knew Juice was lost. Juice is nothing but a liability at this point.

Amanda: I have to agree with Leigh on this one. I think Chibs meant it in a "you are screwed" way. Whether Unser was being serious or not when he said he's lost, I think Chibs was serious in saying he knew he had to go. In this show that means that Juice and the Reaper already have a schedule appointment.

Carla: I don't think Chibs really wanted Juice to kill himself, but it was his way of expressing his utter disappointment in someone he trusted. I took it also as call back to when Juice tried to kill himself and failed. That was the beginning of Juice's betrayal and it only got worse from there. As far as Chibs and the club is concerned, Juice is already dead, so he might as well do it himself.

Christine: Chibs has always cared about Juice but he knows he's a dead man if he stays in Charming. Chibs will always be loyal to the club first. I think telling Juice to kill himself was his way of making sure Juice knew there was no hope for him here and his only option was to run and not look back.

Gemma told dead Tara that EVERYTHING happened the way it was suppose to. Is she insane?

Leigh: Gemma is so off her rocker it's not even funny. She is living with that guilt of her psychotic moment everyday. I said it before, I think it will only get worse.

Leah: She is definitely losing a bit of her sanity. I'm not too sure if I would qualify her as insane quite yet. I think she is really in the process of trying to convince herself that everything did happen the way it was supposed to so that she can justify everything that is going on. This is her way of grieving. You could see the shock and almost pain in her face when she saw the pictures from Tara's murder scene. She can't break down right now. It's her job to stay strong for everyone, especially Jax. So I think these conversations with Tara are to actually keep Gemma sane and to help her deal and come to terms with the mess that she, herself, created.

Amanda: If by that you mean insane with guilt then yes. But I also love to hate this character and just don't mind seeing her going off her rocker. I have to agree with Leigh on this one again that I think it will only get worse. I am actually most excited for Gemma's character this season because that is gonna be some dramatic television!

Carla: Gemma IS sane and that's why she's talking to Tara. It's the only way she can make sense of the world she lives in now. She's trying to justify what happened to herself and find forgiveness. If she actually SAW Tara, I'd worry about her sanity. What we are seeing is the smart woman working through the horror she committed.

Christine: Gemma's ability to justify the violence and the horror of this life never ceases to amaze me. At this point she and Jax are both sociopaths. No one else's lives mean anything to them as long as it gets them what they want. Gemma wants to believe that she did the right thing for Jax and the boys when she killed Tara but the truth is in their somewhere and it will continue to eat away at her. I can't imagine what will be left of her by the end of the season.

Do you want to see Sheriff Jarry and Chibs hook up?

Leigh: Uh yeah! I love Chibs. He deserves some action! I like her too. She isn't fooling herself about how Charming operates.

Leah: Yes!!!!

Amanda: I wouldn't mind seeing these two together. Although they really only interacted to drive profits up and increase their personal bottom lines I thought there was chemistry! She was definitely putting the moves on him, but whether it was real flirting or she has a different agenda is unclear. She hinted she likes bad boys so maybe it's real! I also have to say that I have a bias for Annabeth Gish after being in the X-files for the final two seasons. Love to see her in another strong roll!

Carla: Yes, please! Chibs could use some loving and they had hot chemistry. Everything is falling apart, but perhaps Chibs can find someone to be with when the club collapses.

Christine: Definitely but I do wonder if the Sheriff is exactly what she appears to be or if she is working undercover to bring the club down.

Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst)
Opie made the ultimate sacrifice to save Jax. He was beaten to death in prison, while Jax and the club watched. RIP Opie. You were the heart of SAMCRO. We'll never forget you.

How much do you think Abel knows about what his Daddy does?

Leigh: As someone who is around kids that age quite often, Abel seems extremely quiet but also observational. He definitely knows something is going on. I mean he hangs out in a brothel, what can we expect! The things he sees...

Leah: Kids are very intuitive. I definitely don't think Abel knows details of what his daddy does but I do think he knows that he does bad things. There has to be something in him that knows the type of man Jax has become in order for him to have asked that question in the first place.

Amanda: I think that even Abel can connect the dots between fighting, blood on peoples faces and Gemma calling it bad. Kids learn things by association and observation. He also did get into Charming's Ivy League preschool.

Carla: The look on Abel's face when he saw the attack was frightening. It immediately brought back the image of the kid who shot up the school in last season's premiere. Abel appears to be a quiet and good kid, but I suspect there's a darkness underneath the surface. I fear for him and his future.

Christine: As a parent, I know that kids often are aware of more than we think they are. I can't even imagine the things that Abel has seen or how a young child's brain would process it but there's no doubt it will come back to haunt everyone eventually. And I agree Carla, the look on Abel's face scared me.

Now that Nero's back in, will he ever find his way out of the life?

Leigh: Yes, I think Nero's faith and attitude will always help him find his way back. But then again his face during the shootout might say otherwise. I hope he can get out, I really do. Then we saw him back at Gemma's holding his cross and looking stressed. I have faith in him.

Leah: I'm torn. I'd like to say yes because it's clear that Nero does not like the dirty work of it all. He is truly a good man. We know his end game was to get out but he told Jax a bit ago that he could have gotten out years ago but he couldn't pull himself away. So with that being said, this is a lifestyle for men like them. There is no getting out. Jax wanted to get out and we saw how that turned out. So now , I think Jax has brought Nero to the point of no return. So no, ultimately, I don't see him finding his way out.

Amanda: Nero has a strong enough head on his shoulders that I think he would be able to find his way out. Whether circumstances permit that is another story. He didn't want to go this time but he was bullied into it. At the pace that Jax has the sons moving at is any indication then I think there is going to be a lot more work for Nero to do and lot for situations he is going to become tangled up in.

Carla: I'm not sure. At the pace he's going right now, it's more a question of whether he can get out of this life alive. He's being kept in the dark by Jax and that's a dangerous place to be. Will he be caught in the crossfire? Probably. Unless of course, he does find a way out....

Christine: Seeing Nero with that gun in his hands really depressed me. Perhaps it was inevitable. This isn't a life you can be in half way. If I had to pick one character I'd like to see get out, it's Nero but I can't say I'm optimistic.

What was your favorite scene from the episode?

Leigh: Honestly when Jarry first met the guys, she was all business and I admired the way she handled things. But truly it was her hitting on Chibs on the way out that made me smile.

Leah: Hands down- the scene with Sheriff Jarry and Chibs. I was smiling the whole time like a kid on Christmas morning.

Amanda: My favorite scene was when Bobby called Jury to get some info on those guys they killed. Shouldn't they have done this before?? It was a tense phone call for Jury and I think it left Bobby clueless. I was pretty nervous the whole time though and had still have no idea what Jury is thinking. Is he going to take this sitting down for fear of Jax and loyalty to the club or retaliate somehow??

Carla: There's so much darkness for the club and those around the club, so I enjoyed the few moments of love we saw. Ratboy getting some was awesome. Everyone deserves love!

Christine: I hate to make it unanimous but definitely Sheriff Jarry making it clear to the club that she wants a profitable relationship and then her openly flirting with Chibs. It was a great surprise and I definitely want to see more.

How much deeper of a hole will Jax dig for SAMCRO on this week's new installment of Sons of Anarchy Season 7?

As teased in the following photo, Jax and the club will attempt to make good on an old promise, but it may get them in trouble with some of their new allies, not to mention in deep water while wearing leather.

Also, a familiar face returns in Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 4, which should make Tig very happy (you can guess who it is, right?) and Coutney Love makes a guest appearance as well.

Between Juice on the run and a new sheriff in town, anything is possible in Charming.

Check out these photos from "Lost Little Lambs,' scheduled to air on Tuesday, September 30 at 10/9c on FX:

Just when I think I'm ready for what's to come this season, something like Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 4 comes along and proves me wrong.

Sometimes I'm not sure what's more disturbing: the rampant violence or what's said during the quieter moments.

Leather in Water - Sons of Anarchy
Leather doesn't work well in water. We're assuming that's a dead body in the water but why have Jax and Chibs gone for a swim?

Take Gemma talking to Tara once again, after dropping Abel off at school. Even Abel's teacher (played by Courtney Love) quickly figures out that grandma's crazy. I'll admit, there are rare moments when Gemma's brand of crazy works for me. I hate people who lay on their horns in line.

The only reason Gemma's bringing Abel to school is because she knows it's what Tara would have wanted. She even appears to hope that Thomas turns out to be a doctor like his mommy. But Abel is just like his daddy, heaven help us all.

Speaking of mommies, Colette stopped in to help out at Diosa an Gemma called her Jax's mommy fetish…

The phrase "Mommy fetish" coming out of the mouth of my own mother should never happen again.

Jax

As if that were the most disturbing thing in their world.

When the APB went wide, Gemma decided it was time to get Juice to her father's place but when he started rambling about how his own thoughts don't sync up while he's alone, you could see the wheels turning in Gemma's mind. Juice has become too much of a liability to be allowed to roam on his own.

I'm pretty sure I know why Gemma's packing a gun with a silencer, what I'm less sure about is why Juice is doing the same. Is it merely for his own protection or does he have a plan of his own.

Things went horribly wrong for Jax and the club at every turn in this hour and it was hard not to agree with Bobby in this Sons of Anarchy quote...

Bobby: Remember when our biggest problem was which Mayan to kill?
Jax: Simpler times.

First Tully's boys opened fire on the Sheriff's officers, killing one and badly wounding another. If Eglee wakes up she may have an awful lot to say about what happened in that field.

Tig got shot as they tried to fix the mess that was made when they killed the Reverend. On the upside it led to the return of Venus Van Dam. It's always good to see Venus but the most fun was the expressions on everyone's faces when they realized how close she and Tig had become. Exactly how did Tig know that she likes to "dilly dally" with a client. Also, I love that she calls him Alex.

Does Tig have enough stature within the club so that everyone will simply look the other way when it comes to this unique relationship? I really hope so.

Next, the Chinese threw a grenade into the ice cream shoppe. The most telling thing about that event was how Chibs immediately threw himself on top of Sheriff Jarry. If there was any doubt that there's something brewing between those two, that act certainly eradicated it.

As if things weren't bloody enough, the Chinese walked into Diosa and there was no question what was about to happen next. I'm just grateful we didn't have to actually watch it go down. It was actually more dramatic to have Nero get the call and have everyone race there.

Do you think someone ratted out the club to the Chinese or did they figure the deception out all on their own? And did anyone else find Jax's reaction at Diosa disturbing? Where Nero looked absolutely gutted to see Colette and the rest of the girls lying in a blood heap, Jax appeared way too calm.

Anyone and anything near the orbit of the Sons of Anarchy seems to risk coming to a bloody end. With nine more episodes left I can't even imagine who will be left standing when it's over.

And don't forget, if you need to catch up on the mayhem you can watch Sons of Anarchy online here at TV Fanatic.

Things once again went terribly wrong as Jax attempted to make good on an favor on Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 4. With so many balls in the air, perhaps it shouldn't be surprising that some are starting to fall.

When Jax and the boys tried to make good on a drug deal with Tully's crew, two Sheriff's officers inadvertently stumble upon the scene. When Tully's crew opens fire with deadly results, Jax and the Sons are left scrambling.

Later, Tig takes a bullet when things take an unexpected turn concerning the Reverend that was killed by the club. Luckily Venus Van Dam arrives in order to help.

And when the Chinese get wind of Jax's deception, they throw a grenade into the mix to make sure they have his attention.

Juice was talking crazy, Venus Van Dam returned and Diosa was taken down on Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 4.

Below, TV Fanatics Leigh Raines, Carla Day, Amanda Wolf and Christine Orlando are joined by Donna Lee from Sons-of-Anarchy.net to debate if Gemma has a plan for Juice, Tig's relationship with Venus, who ratted out to the Chinese and what their favorite scenes were from the episode...

SOA Round Table Logo

Do you think Gemma is planning to kill Juice?

Leigh: I think she's undecided and Juice probably knows it's a possibility. I also think that trying to predict anything Gemma does is borderline impossible.

Carla: She's definitely considering it. The look on her face when Juice broke down in Wendy's lap was telling. She knows he's losing it and with nothing to lose, he'd likely out her as a way to save himself. When it comes down to the final decision on whether to pull the trigger or not, I'm going to say no. When Gemma finds out how many lives have been lost as a direct result of her lie about Tara's killer, she will want the killing to end. (I hope!)

Amanda: I think Gemma is always willing to do whatever it is that she needs to do. You could tell the gears were turning in her brain when she was listening to Juice talk about how he is hearing voices. She did debate putting that gun and silencer combo in her bag, so I think she is still undecided. I was wondering during the scene in the hotel if Gemma was thinking about how she talks to herself too. Is she hearing voices? Tara's murder is one of the biggest and kept secrets on TV and I am loving what it is doing to these two characters.

Donna Lee:  I think Gemma took her gun in case she does have to kill him. She realizes he is a loose cannon. She will do whatever she needs to do, to keep her secret.

Christine:  Carla, you give Gemma a lot more credit than I do. I think all of the death caused by her lie is just collateral damage. I'm not sure she really links her actions to the effect they've had. As for Juice, I think she loves him but she'll off him to save herself in a heartbeat. We'll just have to wait and see if it comes to that.

Any ideas on what Juice's plans may be, if any?

Leigh: I don't think he's to skip town. He knows he needs to protect himself. He's also going a little bit crazy. My thoughts are he's going to try to align with other people and sell some secrets. Or maybe he'll pretend to do that but go down by proving his loyalty to Jax. Am I making sense?

Carla: Given his emotional state, he will likely fall on his sword and turn himself over to the Club. The main question will be whether he will take Gemma down with him. As much as I don't think Gemma will kill Juice, I also don't think Jax will kill him at this point either. Too much death may be Juice's saving grace.

Amanda: I can't figure out what Juice's plan would be because I can't see him hurting Gemma, or anyone in the club for that matter. Why would he need a silencer though? You wouldn't worry about a silencer if you were going to kill yourself so it has to be something premeditated or for defense.

Donna Lee:  Juice was a member of the club for a long time. After Chibs turning him down with his plea for help, he is at the end of the line....UNLESS he does something so outrageous they can not question his loyalty. I think he is going to go after Lin on his own. He can clear Gemma, and at the same time, give Gemma no reason to rat him out. And if he does it in a blatantly enough way, the club will realize that he did it to save them.

Christine: Juice is such a wild card. If he gets high to stop the voices, (like he did when he ratted out Jax to Nero) anything is possible. And Amanda, I thought the same thing about the silencer…you don't need one of those to kill yourself so who does he plan to use it on. Still, I'll be very surprised if Juice doesn't end up with a bullet in his brain before it's all over

Do you think Abel will turn out just like his daddy?

Leigh: Whether or not he turns out like Jax, he is going to turn out really messed up to some degree. I foresee him more as a weird introverted kid. And damn does he deserve better.

Carla: The look on Abel's face when he saw the fight in episode 3 worries me. He's at a tipping point between following in his father's steps and living a "normal" life. With the introduction of Ms. Harrison (Courtney Love), we'll see which way he goes....

Amanda: If Gemma ever gets her chance to take those kids out of school then I can see him turning out just like Jax. It's too early to tell though. Im not buying that Gemma says she can see it in is eyes. Probably some wishful thinking on her part though.

Donna Lee:  There is a strong chance Abel will turn out like Jax...if Jax lives....I have a feeling Nero will be the last man standing, and will end up with his son and Jax's son...riding off into the sunset.

Christine:  Without Tara's influence, there's a good chance Gemma might be right. Hopefully some twist of fate will intervene before it's too late.

Leather in Water - Sons of Anarchy
Leather doesn't work well in water. We're assuming that's a dead body in the water but why have Jax and Chibs gone for a swim?

Tig and Venus Van Dam. Your thoughts?

Leigh: Okay, I have always been a Venus fan. Tig has always been a uniquely lovable weirdo with interesting tastes off the beaten path. I dig this. Totally into it.

Carla: Yay! Has Tig finally found love? I hope so! They are absolutely perfect for each other. They heal each other's broken souls.

Amanda: Hhahahaha I love that Tig knew where she was because they "keep in touch." I was discussing this with fellow fans as we were watching and Tig and Happy are the shows most mysterious and unpredictable characters in terms of behavior. These two characters have a way of making all of the other sons look almost normal. I would love it if they kept going with this story line, especially since someone had to doctor Tig back to health. Venus calls Tig Alexander!!

Donna Lee:  Tig and Venus is a beautiful thing...two lost souls comforting each other. I would be really curious if Charlie Hunnam gave them any tips on handling that scene...after Queer as Folk, I am sure he had some pointers for them!

Christine:  Amanda, I agree. I love that she calls him Alexander. There's nothing better than when two strange, lost souls connect. I love it.

Did someone rat out the club's deception to the Chinese or did they figure it out all on their own?

Leigh: My guess would be they figured it out all on their own. They know Jax is not aligned with them. If anything, I bet you the guy from the other Sons charter might've slipped up. Whoever he lost was close to him.

Carla: There's been no indication either way so far. I'd almost rather it be kept a secret. If someone turned on Jax, my guess would be Jury and he would be justified with turning on the Club. He wanted vengeance in the same way that Jax did.

Amanda: I am thinking maybe Jury ratted them out. We didn't see him in this episode and that "lackey" clearly meant something to him. But things have certainly taken a turn for the worse now that the Chinese know. The ice cream shop and Diosa?!?! The death count is getting higher and higher.

Donna Lee:  If someone ratted, I doubt it was Jury. More likely a mole in the 1 9 ers or Mayans....it would actually suit Marx to an extent to have the Chinese and SOA fighting. Now that Marx is set up with the Irish, the club has overstayed its welcome with him. He as much told Jax that....no remorse.

Christine:  There are so many options if someone ratted. Jury being the most obvious which makes me question if it's him. I can only imagine what Jax will do next but on this show bloodshed breeds more bloodshed.

Colette bites the dust. Pen a eulogy.

Leigh: Sorry I will always see her as Matt Saracen's mom from Friday Night Lights. Plus she banged Jax at the end before Tara died and Tara threw some great punches. Sad because maybe she could've cheered Jax up, but I wasn't a fan.

Carla: Hi Ho Hi Ho, it's off to the ground you go.

Amanda: Colette, Im sorry that you had to be collateral damage, but can't say that I am surprised. Even though I liked your character the best when Tara was getting some swings in, I don't think you deserved to go this way.

Donna Lee:  Colette was dedicated to her career. She was an intelligent and passionate business owner. However you may feel about her chosen profession, no one deserves to die such a horrific death. She was someone's daughter…someone's friend...another human being. She will be missed.

Christine:  Colette, I liked you. You were smart and Charming needs more smart woman who aren't sociopaths. You deserved better and you will be missed

What was your favorite scene of the episode?

Leigh: Venus is back! I love the way she talks to the boys and calls Tig "Alexander."

Carla: It's becoming more and more difficult to pick a favorite because the episodes are so dark. I saw a bit of hope for Jax's soul when he ran into the water and swam to the car to save the woman. He's not entirely heartless and that's something given all he's been through and especially given the despicable acts he's committed.

Amanda: This whole episode was my favorite scene! Everything about this episode was good and I think it has been the most exciting one of the season so far. Jax having that awkward conversation with Gemma about mommy fetishes was awesome. Every scene with Venus was awesome. Things are also looking pretty bad for the club right now. I simple can't choose.

Donna Lee:  Best scene...toughest question on all.....got to go with Tig and Venus! The kiss heard around the world!

Christine:  So much good stuff in this episode but my favorite was Chibs covering Sheriff Jaffy when that grenade came through the window. Nothing gets to the heart of the matter like a live grenade.

Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 5 Review: Some Strange Eruption

It's maddening to think that one brutal event and the horrible lie used to cover it up led to Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 5

There's been so much death. Slaughter at almost every turn and now a little boy stands with a hammer thinking he has to hurt someone to protect his baby brother.

Chibs and Althea's hookup was cut short by the call about Diosa. Nothing like mass murder to destroy the afterglow.

I'm really enjoying Sheriff Jarry. She's doing her best to stem the violence by working within the system and not just the justice system but the outlaw one as well. When she warned Jax that he needed to give her something about Diosa or else none of them would walk away whole, I couldn't help but think that that one thought is the entire theme of the show. No one will walk away whole.

Jax's bloodlust finally spilled over onto Nero when Lin ordered Padilla to hand over Jax or be killed…and then handed him a picture of his son.

Security at the cripple home ain't that tight.

Lin

I wondered if Nero had his own backup plan for his son, just in case something like this happened. He seems like a man who would have contingency plans to protect those he loves.

Lin had no idea what Jax was talking about when he accused him of killing Tara but he knew this was bad. But could Lin and his army be just as dangerous inside as they are out? Will Jax be satisfied having the man killed in prison and not doing the job with his own hands?

Back at Red Woody, Abel's life became even more disturbing. All this little boy wanted to do was go to school and go home. Instead he knows that more people are dead, that everyone is scared and that his daddy supposedly protects them all.  As Jax told his son that it was his job to keep everyone safe, all I could think was that he's failing at it spectacularly.

Watching Abel stand guard over his baby brother with a hammer, declaring that he wouldn't let anyone hurt him was truly disturbing. It made me wonder what Wendy was thinking as she watched her son turn into a little Jax Teller.

As Jax was making it his life's mission to murder as many Chinese as he could, he had no idea what was going on behind his back.

Gemma gave Juice a pack of smokes when what he really needed was a psych evaluation and some medication. If Juice hadn't been left alone with the voices in his head perhaps that poor motel manger wouldn't be lying in a bathtub with multiple holes in his.

Poor Unser always seems to get the worst of these situations but disposing of the dead body may have been the easier job. One question, was there anyone down at the desk to take Unser's money for the room since Juice killed the motel manager?

The moment Gemma left with Juice I knew that plan had changed but when she mentioned that Nero was going to help Juice get away, she was done. I loved how Juice calmly explained why the mother of that boy couldn't live because Jax considered her too big of a risk, all the while knowing Gemma now saw him the same way.

Will Juice kill Gemma? I hope not. I hope he decides to make a phone call and tell Jax the truth because if he does I can't even imagine what happens next.

Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst)
Opie made the ultimate sacrifice to save Jax. He was beaten to death in prison, while Jax and the club watched. RIP Opie. You were the heart of SAMCRO. We'll never forget you.

When Juice gets paranoid after hearing about the shooting at Diosa, he thinks that the motel manager is one of Lin's men and kills him.
